Seasonal fare, a chill in the air, and a little scare — this is Fall in beautiful PA! If you love the frightening fun and sweet scents of autumn, you’ll fall for the festive events in town this season. Every THP home is built in a family-friendly area that certainly knows how to do Fall the right way…
Trick or treat yourself and your family to something special! Take a look at a few of our favorite ways to celebrate the most beautiful season of all:
Merrymead Harvest Days: Head down to Merrymead Farm in Landsdale every Saturday and Sunday for can’t-miss Fall fun, including hayrides, face painting, corn mazes, farm animals, games, and of course, the sweetest treats of the season, from apple cider donuts to local apples.
Pennypacker Mills All Hallow’s Eve Fall Festival: On Saturday, October 20th, venture over to the Mills between 1 and 4 PM for a family-friendly fall oasis where everyone can enjoy activities like pumpkin painting, crafts, hayrides, a bean bag toss, corn shucking, apple pressing, and more.
Elmwood Park Zoo Boo at the Zoo: Rock your best costume with your children and join in on the fun at Elmwood Park Zoo, where trick-or-treating, gorgeous décor, and so much more awaits! This event will take place during the weekends between October 13th and 28th from 12 to 3 PM.
Freddy Hill Farms: For the 32nd year, Freddy’s Fallfest will provide 4 weeks of Fall fun for the whole family. If a pumpkin patch, a giant slide, mini golf, a driving range, batting cages, hayrides, cornfield mazes, pig races, pony rides, and delicious food sound like a good time, head down and jump right in!
Upper Perk Halloween Parade: What would Halloween be without a spooktacular parade? On Sunday, October 21st, take part in one of the area’s most festive events, which will start at the Red Hill Fire House and continue down Main Street through Red Hill, Pennsburg, and East Greenville.
Spring Mountain: Open now, Spring Mountain is officially Scream Mountain, offering you the outdoor thrills and festive frights you’ve been looking forward to all year! Come for a haunted hayride (as well as one that’s fun for the little ones), a haunted lift and walk, Heart of Darkness tours, and so much more.
Crystal Cave: In the Fall, Crystal Cave in Kutztown sparkles with even more magic than usual… Guides in Victorian clothing give the original tour from the 1870s, complete with ghost stories, folklore, and the history of the cave, all by lantern light! Perfect for those over the age of 8, this event is unforgettable.
A time of beautiful scenery and bountiful activities, the fun never stops happening in Fall. Venture outside of your spacious and cozy THP home to explore the festivities and create autumn traditions with your family! Just don’t forget to bring back a little spooky décor for your THP home… Happy Fall!
